Who is the killer in Barbarian? ›

Since none of the women Frank abducted are seen in the tunnels and no one ever reported him to authorities, it can be assumed that Frank eventually murdered all of the women he kidnapped, making him a serial killer as well as a serial rapist.

Bill Skarsgård really does a great job setting things up, and Georgina Campbell serves well as the classic "damsel in the distress." Justin Long is truly hilarious. This pokes fun at a lot of hororr movie tropes while still being scary enough to have audiences jumping out of their seats.

Parents need to know that Barbarian is a dark, extremely creepy/gory horror movie (with satirical elements) about a sinister house in Detroit. It's skillfully made and entertaining but saddled with a disappointing monster. Gore scenes include a head being bashed against a wall until it's a bloody pulp, eye…

While Frank is a monster in Barbarian, he isn't the only one. The film goes to great lengths to put Frank and AJ on similar footing, highlighting the inherent evil of patriarchy and supremacy. Frank views women as objects, things for him to use and discard at his will.
