Kaleb Cooper has issued an update to his fans about the health of his dog. The Clarkson's Farm star has shared that his beloved canine is poorly and has detailed a "bad couple of days" at home in a new video.

Sharing to his 2.5 million followers on Instagram, Kaleb is seen driving a tractor as he spoke into the camera and looked dejected as he updated his fans about his pet.

He said: "Had some pretty bad couple of days with my dog. The poor fellow ate something that he wasn't supposed to have eaten. I rushed him to the vet yesterday where he stayed overnight.

"He's heavily sedated and hopefully on the mend now. But, I think he owed me about five grand. So, there is a dog looking for work if you have any jobs going for him. He can do anything - he can drive tractors. He can model. He can eat food. He is a Labrador after all."

Kaleb shot to fame after appearing on the first series of Clarkson's Farm. The show centres around Jeremy getting to grips with his Diddly Squat Farm in Chipping Norton.

Speaking to Radio Times, the father-of-two opened up about the popularity of the series and how he's dealt with his newfound fame. Why does Kaleb think he was picked for the series? He replied: "I don’t know. I didn’t ask questions.

"They needed someone to fill that role on the farm and I’d been doing it for three years so it made sense to stick with me, I suppose. Nobody knew that me and Jeremy were going to click as well as we did."

After becoming a star on the show, Kaleb, 25, recently embarked on a UK tour named The World According to Kaleb and visited cities such as Glasgow, Leicester, Nottingham, Bath, Newcastle and London.

The third series of Clarkson's Farm, which aired earlier this month, showed plenty of "trials and tribulations" in the unexpected world of British farming, such as crop failure, severe inflation, and Jeremy's hopes for his beloved restaurant being dashed.

There were also emotional scenes such as Jeremy and his girlfriend Lisa Hogan losing a number of piglets. Filming for the fourth season of the show is already underway.

With Clarkson's Farm currently enjoying success as Amazon Prime's highest rated original UK show, there is no confirmation yet on whether a fifth season is in the works.

Clarkson's Farm can be streamed on Amazon Prime.
