@mattly @wirecutter FWIW I also bought the Orbi based on the recommendation, and apparently there’s some known issue where the devices somehow increase network traffic / data consumption, my two person household now regularly goes over 1TB every month ( the xfinity data cap )

@joshuajcarter_ Comcast. People talk smack, but their customer service is always insanely helpful, service is fine (as I use all my own network gear), price is fine. Century Link on the other hand. They’ll trick you with offers and never deliver, service isn’t even close to what you pay for.

Internet update Episode 528Called @Xfinity this morning for shipping updates and OMG. The rep told me since we are short on the newer model modem XB8 they will send the same model XB7. WTF? Why would you send it and not notify your customers? That doesn't solve our issue! Wow..
