I have discovered how to evaluate and select deployment options and pilot deployments, and how to manage and troubleshoot provisioning packages in Windows 10. This course can be used as part of preparation for the MD-101: Managing Modern Desktops certification exam. Modern deployments, and another type of deployment, dynamic provisioning. I have explored traditional deployment options. Next, take a closer look at Windows 10 subscription activation and learnt when to use Azure Active Directory integration with Mobile Device Management. Then examine some of the key benefits and features of provisioning packages in Windows 10. Discovered how to install Windows Configuration Designer, create and apply a provisioning package for Windows 10, and how to remove a previous applied provisioning package from a computer. Finally, examine User Experience Virtualization. The concluding exercise involves deploying Windows 10 by using traditional deployment options and provisioning packages.Let’s summarize the key learnings from the course on Windows 10 deployment options and provisioning packages:Modern Deployments: Explore a new category of deployment for Windows 10 calledmodern deployments.Understand how to evaluate and select deployment options.Learn aboutWindows Autopilot, which customizes the out-of-box experience (OOBE) for your organization and deploys systems with pre-configured apps and settings.Discoverin-place upgrades, where you can update the OS and migrate apps and settings without a fresh installation.Dynamic Provisioning: Dive into dynamic provisioning, which allows you to configure applications and settings for specific use cases.Exploresubscription activation, where you can switch from Windows 10 Pro to Enterprise when a subscribed user signs in.Learn aboutAzure Active Directory integrationwith Mobile Device Management (MDM).Traditional Deployment Options:Understand more traditional deployment methods:Bare metal deployment: Deploy a new device or wipe an existing one and install a fresh image.Refresh (Wipe and Load): Redeploy a device by saving user state, wiping the disk, and restoring user data.Replace: Replace an existing device with a new one while preserving user state.Provisioning Packages:Explore the benefits of provisioning packages: Quickly configure new devices without installing a new image.Save time by configuring multiple devices using a single package.Configure employee-owned devices without an MDM infrastructure.Set up devices even without network connectivity.Provisioning packages are flexible and can be delivered via removable media, email, network shares, NFC tags, or barcodes.UseWindows Configuration Designerto create and apply provisioning packages.User Experience Virtualization (UE-V):Conclude by examining UE-V, which allows users to maintain consistent settings across different devices.

Windows 11 Insiders in the Beta Channel can install a preview build that offers the first semi-public availability for the AI-infused sidebar announced at Build 2023. “This first preview focuses on our integrated UI experience, with additional functionality coming down the road in future previews,” the company wrote in a blog post today. Windows Copilot is a system-level version of the browser-based Copilot the company began previewing in February. Microsoft views the tool — also coming to Microsoft Office and Teams — as representing a monumental shift in how customers interact with Microsoft software. “AI is going to be the single largest driver of innovation for Windows in the years to come,” Panos Panay, Microsoft Executive Vice President and Chief Product Officer, told Engadget’s Devindra Hardawar in an interview at Build 2023. “It’s going to change the way you work, change your interaction models to make it easier.
