WE’LL HIGHLIGHT THAT COMING UP HERE IN A FEW MINUTES. WELL, I DIDN’T EXPECT TO SEE THE TREE DAMAGE THAT I SAW JUST NOW. UM, WE HEARD A LOT OF WIND AND RAIN, BUT NEW AT NINE, A NEIGHBORHOOD IN EDMOND WAKING UP TO DAMAGE AFTER A VICIOUS STORM OVERNIGHT. AND THIS IS JUST NORTH OF EDMOND OGE. AND IN THAT AREA WE KNOW IS WORKING TO RESTORE POWER AND CLEAR ONE SPOT WHERE POWER LINES WERE BLOCKING THE ROAD. AND OUR CREWS OUT THIS MORNING, GIVING US A LOOK AT WHAT’S BEEN LEFT BEHIND AFTER THOSE STORMS. KOCO CAMERON SIBERT LIVE FOR US IN THE AREA FOR US THIS MORNING AND CAMERON TELL US HOW’S IT LOOK RIGHT NOW. YEAH. GOOD MORNING. STILL NO POWER FOR THE FOLKS HERE ALONG WESTERN AVENUE JUST SOUTH OF WATERLOO ROAD HERE IN NORTHERN EDMOND, YOU CAN SEE BEHIND US. THERE’S STILL AN ACTIVE SCENE HERE AS CREWS WORKED TO RESTORE THE POWER, THE POWER LINE NOW DANGLING THERE, ACTUALLY CUTTING DOWN THIS BIG TREE THAT KNOCKED OVER AND WAS FALLING INTO THE ROAD. LIKE YOU GUYS MENTIONED, WE GOT A CHANCE TO GO INTO THE NEIGHBORHOOD AND TALK TO SOME OF THE PEOPLE THAT WERE IMPACTED BY THIS STORM OVERNIGHT HERE OFF WESTERN AVENUE. THEY SAY THEY WERE WOKEN UP LAST NIGHT BY THE STRONG WINDS. SOME EVEN SAID DEBRIS WAS SLAMMING INTO THEIR WINDOWS. I REMEMBER GETTING UP AND SAW THAT THE WIND WAS BLOWING REALLY HARD, BUT I WENT BACK TO BED JUST THINKING IT WAS JUST A STORM. AND THEN A FEW HOURS LATER, MY DAUGHTER CAME IN AND SHE SAID, ARE YOU OKAY? SHE SAID, IT SOUNDS LIKE SOMETHING HIT THE WINDOW IN THE FRONT DOOR REALLY HARD. SO SHE THOUGHT PROBABLY IT WAS A TORNADO. I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST HIGH WINDS. WHILE THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS NOT CONFIRMED A TORNADO HERE, WE DID HAVE SOME REPORTS OF WINDS UP TO 100MPH IN CERTAIN PARTS OF EDMOND OVERNIGHT. AT LAST CHECK THE GOOD NEWS NO STRUCTURAL DAMAGE HAS BEEN REPORTED TO OKLAHOMA COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT OFFICIALS, AND NO INJURIES HAVE BEEN REPORTED AS A RESULT OF THE STORMS HERE IN EDMOND, WE’LL CONTINUE TO MONITOR THE SITUATION AND BRING YOU THE LATEST HERE
