Group Development Officer (37 hrs p.w)
Salary: £27,741 (aligned to NJC SO1)

For this role, we are looking for an individual who is passionate about communities and who can effortlessly connect people with each other, promoting new collaborations and opportunities.

We are seeking an individual who has theoretical and practical knowledge of setting up and running different types of voluntary and community organisations. This role will involve enhancing resilience in communities by: supporting the development of new projects and organisations, championing good practice in running groups, encouraging collaboration between voluntary and community groups and promoting the value of the sector to partner organisations.

As an infrastructure organisation we deliver a range of support services to voluntary and community sector (VCS) organisations and groups across Dudley borough.

Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Support Officer (37 hrs p.w)
Salary: £24,982 (aligned to NJC Scale 6)

For this role, we are looking for an individual who is passionate about working with children, young people and their families and enabling new and creative opportunities for their involvement in services and activities.

The Holiday Activities and Food programme is a Government initiative that provides grant funding to local authorities to coordinate free holiday provision for eligible children. After a first year of a successful HAF programme in Dudley, Dudley CVS is able to offer an exciting opportunity to join the children’s team to project manage and deliver a high quality HAF programme in Dudley using a robust programme plan on behalf of DMBC. This role will involve working directly with parents and young people to canvas their thoughts and wishes for HAF and to involve them as participants and/or volunteers in the planning and delivery of this programme. HAF runs through school holidays at Easter, Summer and Christmas.

Dudley CVS delivers a range of support services for children, young people and families. We also support a wide range of voluntary organisations and community groups who specialise in delivering high quality support services for children and young people across Dudley borough.

Youth and Community Groups Development Officer (37 hrs p.w)
Salary: £27,741 (aligned to NJC SO1)

For this role, we are looking for an individual who is passionate about young people and communities and who can effortlessly connect people with each other, promoting new collaborations and opportunities.

We are seeking an individual to work directly with children and young people to co-ordinate and facilitate their involvement in project based activity and decision making across the borough. It is to advocate and negotiate alongside them to improve their experiences and life chances.

The role will also work alongside colleagues to build capacity in newly formed and established youth focused voluntary and community groups by providing information, guidance and training in areas such as youth practice, to enable them to contribute effectively to the wider community.

Community Engagement Officer for Healthwatch Dudley (37 hrs p.w)
Salary: £24,982 (aligned to NJC Scale 6)

For this role, we are looking for an individual who is a great connector and who loves meeting new people. You will need to be able to actively listen and build meaningful relationships with people. Skills, experience and knowledge of community engagement is essential.

The Community Engagement Officer will play an important role in reaching out to marginalised groups and individuals to ensure Healthwatch Dudley engages with all parts of the community. You will support the delivery of creative methods of engagement such as storytelling, focus groups, facilitating networks and hosting events both online and face to face. The role will involve championing the voices of those who go unheard, capturing people’s experiences, the opinions of families, carers and the public.

Healthwatch Dudley is the champion for health and social care services in Dudley borough and has been delivered by Dudley CVS since April 2013.

Dudley borough has a diverse community with a wide variety of health issues and needs. Healthwatch Dudley provides meaningful opportunities for local people to influence how health and social care services are provided.
